เธอเกิดและเติบโตที่ประเทศแอฟริกาใต้ จากคุณแม่ชาวไทยและคุณพ่อชาวแอฟริกาใต้ การเติบโตท่ามกลางสองวัฒนธรรมหล่อหลอมให้เธอซึมซับคุณค่าของความหลากหลาย ความเข้มแข็ง ความเมตตา และการเปิดใจยอมรับความแตกต่าง เมื่ออายุ 22 ปี เธอตัดสินใจย้ายมาเริ่มต้นชีวิตใหม่ที่ประเทศไทยเพียงลำพัง เพื่อสร้างอนาคตด้วยความมุ่งมั่นและความเชื่อมั่นในตัวเอง การเดินทางครั้งนั้นทำให้เธอเติบโตเป็นผู้หญิงที่กล้าก้าวออกจากพื้นที่ปลอดภัย พร้อมเรียนรู้และพัฒนาตัวเองจากทุกความท้าทาย

ทารีน่าสำเร็จการศึกษาด้านการตลาด (Marketing) จาก University of South Africa ปัจจุบันเป็นผู้ประกอบการและเจ้าของร้านอาหารอิตาเลียน “Volare” ในกรุงเทพฯ รวมถึงเป็นผู้ก่อตั้ง “The Ultimate Girl Guide” แพลตฟอร์มออนไลน์ที่แบ่งปันความรู้ด้านการพัฒนาบุคลิกภาพ ความมั่นใจ การสื่อสาร การดูแลตัวเอง และการสร้างแบรนด์ส่วนบุคคล เพื่อสนับสนุนให้ผู้หญิงค้นพบคุณค่าในตัวเองและก้าวสู่ศักยภาพที่ดีที่สุด นอกเหนือจากการทำงาน เธอให้ความสำคัญกับการพัฒนาตัวเองอย่างต่อเนื่อง อดีตนักกีฬาเทนนิสทุนการศึกษา ปัจจุบันหลงใหลในการดำน้ำแบบฟรีไดฟ์ การวาดภาพ และการออกกำลังกาย ซึ่งล้วนเป็นกิจกรรมที่ช่วยเสริมสร้างทั้งความแข็งแกร่งของร่างกายและจิตใจ

ตลอดระยะเวลากว่า 6 ปี ทารีน่าทำหน้าที่เป็นแอมบาสเดอร์ของ **Scholars of Sustenance (SOS Thailand)** องค์กรที่ช่วยกู้คืนอาหารส่วนเกินและส่งต่อให้ผู้ขาดแคลนในสังคม ประสบการณ์การทำงานร่วมกับชุมชนทำให้เธอเชื่อมั่นว่า “ความเมตตาที่ลงมือทำจริง” คือพลังที่สามารถสร้างการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่ยั่งยืน และอาหารเพียงหนึ่งมื้อก็สามารถมอบทั้งความหวัง ศักดิ์ศรี และโอกาสในการเริ่มต้นใหม่ให้กับใครบางคนได้

สำหรับทารีน่า ผู้หญิงยุคใหม่และ Miss Universe ไม่ได้โดดเด่นเพียงเพราะความงามภายนอก แต่ต้องเป็นผู้นำที่ใช้เสียงของตนเองสร้างแรงบันดาลใจและผลักดันการเปลี่ยนแปลงเชิงบวก เธอมุ่งมั่นใช้ทุกบทบาทในการส่งเสริมให้ผู้หญิงเชื่อมั่นในคุณค่าของตนเอง กล้าพัฒนาศักยภาพ และร่วมสร้างโอกาสที่ดีให้กับผู้คนและสังคม เพราะเธอเชื่อว่าความงดงามที่แท้จริง คือการใช้แสงสว่างของตัวเองเพื่อส่งต่อโอกาสและแรงบันดาลใจให้ผู้อื่นได้เปล่งประกายไปพร้อมกัน

Tharina Botes is proud to represent Miss Universe Krung Thep Maha Nakhon.

Born and raised in South Africa to a Thai mother and a South African father, Tharina grew up embracing two cultures that shaped her values of diversity, resilience, compassion, and open-mindedness. At the age of 22, she moved to Thailand independently to build a new chapter of her life, an experience that strengthened her confidence, adaptability, and determination to pursue her goals.

She holds a degree in Marketing from the University of South Africa and is the owner of Volare, an Italian restaurant in Bangkok inspired by the charm of Italy’s Amalfi Coast. She is also the founder of *The Ultimate Girl Guide*, an online platform dedicated to helping women build confidence, develop their communication skills, strengthen their personal brand, and unlock their full potential.

Passionate about personal growth, Tharina enjoys sports and creative pursuits. A former tennis scholarship recipient, she is now an avid freediver, artist, and fitness enthusiast, believing that physical and mental strength are equally important for personal development.

For more than six years, Tharina has served as an ambassador for Scholars of Sustenance (SOS Thailand), supporting food rescue initiatives that reduce food waste while providing meals to vulnerable communities. Through this work, she has witnessed how a single meal can restore hope, dignity, and opportunity, reinforcing her belief that compassion, when put into action, creates meaningful and lasting social impact.

Tharina believes that a modern woman—and a Miss Universe—is defined not only by beauty, but by leadership, purpose, and the ability to inspire positive change. Through her advocacy, she is committed to empowering women to recognize their worth, embrace their potential, and use their voices to create opportunities that uplift individuals, communities, and society as a whole.
